ZTE Blade 3 or ZTE Blade G: Which one to buy?

ZTE Blade 3 or ZTE Blade G

ZTE is famous for the affordable Android phones and ZTE Blade G is one more phone with good specs and really low price.

Now the war on cheap phones is on the screens. ZTE and Huawei are trying to give you more inches in lower price.

That’s why ZTE Blade G has a 4.5 inches screen that can be compared to premium phones. But the size is not the only spec we should look at. So let’s take a look at these two phones.

Shape: ZTE Blade G Design: ZTE Blade G

ZTE Blade 3 is smaller than ZTE Blade G as it has a smaller screen. ZTE Blade 3 has a 4 inches screen and ZTE Blade G has a 4.5 inches screen. So this small difference in screens has little effect on the body of twe two phones. ZTE Blade G is thinner (9.2mm to 10mm) but a bit heavier (140g to 130g). Both phones are heavier than competitors. We like the body of Blade 3 but Blade G has a better shape and design.

Winner: ZTE Blade G

ZTE Blade G has a bigger screen of 4.5 inches. We love phones with big screens but the quality of the screen is essential too. Blade G has a 4.5 inches screen with 217PPI but ZTE Blade 3 has a 4 inches screen with 233PPI. The difference between the two screens in not that big in PPIs so we give the final points to Blade G.

Winner: ZTE Blade G

Both phones have a 5MP camera on the back to take photos. So they are equal and we have no winner here on the hardware but on the software side Blade G has a newer Android version so it has more control on the camera too. On the second camera field, Blade G has a camera and ZTE Blade 3 not. So the winner is G although the camera is only 0.3MP.

Winner: ZTE Blade G

Twe two phones have different processors and the lead here is for ZTE Blade G. It has a dual processor at 1.2GHz and ZTE Blade 3 has a single core processor at 1GHz. This is a huge difference although both phones have the same 512MB RAM.

Winner: ZTE Blade G

ZTE Blade G has a bigger battery so it stays alive for longer. Blade G has a 2000mAh battery and ZTE Blade 3 has a 1600mAh battery so the difference is big.

Other specs and details

The two phones have 4GB of space and they support a microSD card. They also have the Android apps package and they both have GPS. ZTE Blade G has a newer Android version. Although it’s not the 4.2, Blade G has 4.1 compared to the Android 4.0 of ZTE Blade 3.

Final verdict

ZTE Blade G is a better smartphone than ZTE Blade 3 as it has a bigger screen, a faster processor, bigger battery and a second camera to video chat. The only reason to buy ZTE Blade 3 is if the 4.5 inch screen cannot fit in your hand. In that case, you should buy a 4 inches screen, ZTE Blade 3 or one of the 4 inches phones we already compared.
