ZTE Blade 3 review: The Chinese best of cheap smartphones

ZTE Blade 3 is a cheap smartphone with good tech specs and a bright screen for users that make their first step on the smartphone world.

If you buy your first smartphone, ZTE has a reliable proposition that costs little and offers you a lot.

This phone does not sacrifice the specs for the price, you get a fair processor, memory and camera for the less money you can pay.

Blade 3 is the successor of Blade 2 and of course Blade 1 that was a hit when on the market.

ZTE launched a bigger screen on the third Blade phone so Blade 3 has a screen half an inch bigger than Blade 2.

Although the screen is bigger, the resolution remains the same so the new screen has less pixels per inch than Blade 2. But it’s a good screen for photos, videos, browsing.

The quality of the body is fair, it is plastic but a good plastic.

On the back we can see the camera of 5MP that has good results in the day as it lacks flash. There is no flash on this phone so no night pictures.

Blade 3 has no secondary camera on the front so no video chat available. But if you never video chat on the phone or take night pictures, you are not going to miss these features.

The sound of the phone is really good, so you can watch a movie or some songs without scratching your ears.

4GB are available on the phone to store your files and you can add a microSD to have even more space.

The battery is 1.600mAh and you can stand without charging for more than 2 days. Of course that depends on your profile as a user.

The battery is good because the version of Android 4.0 is without much more add ons. So it’s light and fast. And we like it. We love when phones have pure Android.

The processor of the phone is single core 1GHz and the power of the phone is not an issue. Of course this is not a quad core phone, but remember what you paid to get it.

Android has a lot of apps available on the Google Play store so you can download games and utility apps, there is a lot of them.

You will also find a radio app, GPS, Google Maps, an app called Full Share to share your files, Mi-Easy Access to access your first screen and a back up app.
