Most Android phones show the time an SMS was received by the phone and not the time it was initially sent by the contact on your phone.
Although networks give that sort of information, the Android OS hides the information and you don’t really know when an SMS was sent to you if your phone was off.
Right now, when you open the phone, you get the SMS and you see the actual time it was received to your phone.
This is a major problem in most Android phones. You can fix it very easy.

Steps.
1. Find the app and download it to your phone.
2. Enable the app at your phone.
3. Now you can see the time an SMS was sent to you.
The time the SMS was sent to you is located inside the SMS and the time it was received remains where it was.
