LG Optimus G: 14 reasons to buy and 8 not to buy LG Optimus G

7 reasons to buy LG Optimus G

Design (glass on the back): The first thing you will notice when you will take that phone on your hands (after the square design) is the glass on the back. I like the glass on the back, it is stylish. I liked it on Sony Xperia Z and Nexus 4 and I like it on LG Optimus G.

Design (thin and stylish): LG Optimus G is 8.4mm, thinner than most older phones but not as thin as the brand new quad monsters. Overall the design is beautiful and it has no buttons other than the volume buttons. The only port is for the SIM card and it is hidden. The minimalistic look is trending right now and this phone looks stylish.

Fast processor: On the inside the processor is a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait that has good specs. I played games, watched some videos and everything is smooth. Quad core phones are becoming mainstream. Although the latest generation of quad core phones is slightly faster, the difference is not something you will understand.

Screen (big and shinny): LG Optimus G has a big 4.7 inches screen with 318 pixels per inch. The technology behind the shiny screen is True HD-IPS+ LCD, it is not LED but it’s really impressing and you will like this screen which also has Gorilla Glass 2.

Camera (voice control): The camera app has an option we love as in every LG phone. You can take a photo just by saying smile or cheese or LG. So you can hold your phone with one or two hands and take the photo automatically by saying the magic words. This is truly helpful.

Camera (beautiful gallery app): The album app of the phone is really beautiful. You can see the photos on an album and zoom in to make them bigger. You can see from 5 photos per row to just 2. When tapping on a photo you can see a small preview on the bottom of the screen with the next and previous phones. I like these options and they are useful on big photo albums.

Camera (photo editor): The pre installed photo editor is doing a good job. You don’t need a special app to make your photos look better. Just press edit and then you can select some filters, flip, rotate, correct the red eyes, fix the colors etc.
