Hide your number when calling (hide caller ID)

hide caller ID

It’s easy to hide your number when calling a number. By hiding your number, the receiver will not see your number. This of course must be also supported by your telco.

On Android phones all you have to do is the right setting to hide your calling number.

Steps

1. Open the phone app of your phone

2. Press the Settings button (three dots on the down right of the app)

3. Select Additional Settings

4. Select Caller ID

5. Wait for the phone to get the network’s settings. Then select:

Network default: if you want the network default settings (normally the number will not be hidden)

Hide number: if you want to hide your number from the receiver

Show number: if you want to show the number.

If you have asked to your network to hide your number and you select from the above menu the “show number” setting, your number will not show as the settings on the network are stronger than the settings on your phone.

In some networks, you can also dial #31# and this will hide your caller id

that depends on the network too, but it’s an easiest way to do it. :-)
