Spotify is one of the best music streaming services, based in the UK. It has more than 20 million songs, one of the biggest catalogues and it is available on Android devices. It can stream at 96Kbps, 160Kbps and 320Kbps and you can save playlists for offline listening. That will save you a lot of bandwidth and this is one of the best features of this app. The long catalogue of Spotify gives you a lot of options but the Beatles and Led Zeppelin are missing.

Why choose Spotify: save playlists and music offline, large catalogue

Why reject Spotify: not available in your country, you are the Beatles fan

[two]Spotify over Google Music Manager

+ It has 18 milions songs, this is a big catalogue as well

Google Music Manager limits your library to 20.000 songs. (this is 1150CDs, some users (including me) have more CDs at their home.

Limited Google Plus integration, you can’t follow what people are listening to.

+ I like the Explore button, Google has access to all my profiles, searches etc, so the app can suggest me great songs.

The quality at 320Kbps is great but not as good as Sony’s AAC.

+ As a Google service, it is great for Android devices)[/two]

[two_last]Spotify over Deezer

+ Big music catalogue of 25 million songs available in 182 different countries

You need to have a paid plan to get the 320Kbps quality streaming

+ You can sign in with Facebook and get access to full tracks for free

Beatles and Led Zeppelin are not here either

+ The best Spotify alternative[/two_last]

[two]Spotify over Napster

Smaller than other apps with 15 million songs

+ Cheaper than Spotify

+ Great sound quality

More sophisticated choices of music

+ Option to listen offline[/two]

[two_last]Spotify over Blinkbox Music

+ It is free

Radio only service, you cannot create playlists

+ You can create stations based on your favourite artists

Sometimes the quality is not as good as in other services

+ Savvy selection based on the choices you make

+ Great for discovering new tracks and artists

Not available in all countries[/two_last]

[two]Spotify over Rdio

+ Built from the guys behind Kazaa and Skype, they know what they are doing

+ A lot of music choices: 20 million songs and a lot of radio stations

Compressed sound with lower bitrate audible with high end headphones

+ Facebook integration

+ Great community

Not available in all countries[/two]

[two_last]Spotify over Sony Music unlimited

+ Great sound at 320Kbps with high quality AAC audio format

Great for Sony devices

Bad quality for offline listening (48Kbps)

+ Big database of 20 million songs

Limited social integration[/two_last]
